Judge Maria Aceves
I'm happy to share this special portrait with custom framing I was able to complete for The Honorable Judge Maria Aceves from the 192nd Civil District Court here in Dallas and her beautiful daughters. Judge Aceves is an attorney with a decade of experience in civil law who values fairness and justice in her court.
Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett
This illustration was created for State Representative Jasmine Crockett from Texas' 30th Congressional District. It was featured among her Get Out The Vote messaging as she secured re-election on November 5, 2024.
"Kamehameha Gold"
Noah Lyles secured Team USA a gold medal in the closest 100m race I've ever witnessed. It's not about the start, it's about the finish. Persistence is key, keep pushing forward.
"Peace interrupted"
Sonya Massey should be alive. Her life was taken in the sanctity of her own home by someone who she’d called for help. I can’t imagine her emotion in those final moments when Officer Grayson aimed at her, but I tried to capture the peace and tranquility of her home and the fear, surprise, and confusion of the moment. Seeing this happen over and over is tiring and heartbreaking.
Legacy. Black Excellency. Judge Vonda Bailey shaw and her mini me.
This illustration was created for Judge Vonda Bailey Shaw and her daughter. Legacy and seeing positive examples of what’s possible in our community is more important than ever. Whether it’s a judge, figure skater, engineer, a coach - show them what they can become and help the dream become a reality. The sky is the limit!
"freedom to be great"
On Juneteenth I celebrated the late Willie Mays, who broke racial barriers in professional baseball and faced all of the leftover adversity from chattel slavery. For me, freedom is the ability to fully occupy space, have equity, and live without fear of my rights and personhood being violated. What does Freedom mean to you?
"LATE NIGHTS"
This custom illustration was created for Whataburger and lives in The Whataburger Museum of Art. It captures the essence of a Texas night under the moonlight... in the Whataburger Drive-Thru when nothing else is open.
"Fatherhood in '91"
When my father passed away in April 2023, I experienced a profound sense of loss and disconnection. While designing his funeral program, I stumbled upon a now cherished picture of us: him, a nurturing father, feeding me as a baby. Tears streamed down my face as I crafted this illustration, yet amidst the sorrow, I found beauty. It became a poignant reminder of the resilience required to navigate through pain towards a place of solace.
June 27 - Dj Screw Day
Honoring the Legacy of Houston legend, DJ Screw on June 27 is a southern tradition. He pioneered the "Chopped and Screwed" sound that has spread around the country and world since the 90s. On June 27, 1996, he recorded his most notable composition, "June 27th," a 35 minute freestyle that lives in hip-hop imfamy and helped shape the cadence of the music we love today.

"The king of comedy - Bernie mac"
Bernie Mac was The King of Comedy! There’ll never be another like him. I wanted this one to embody the spirit and laughter of BMac in a legendary stage: the famed Def Comedy Jam. This is my first completed illustration of 2024, my last one of 2023, and is available on poster and mounted canvas..
"2 Dope boyz in a caddie"
This custom OutKast ATLien illustration is inspired by Atlanta rap duo and their influence on southern hip hop. Featuring an out of this world theme and an old school Cadillac, it captures the essence and colorful complexity of OutKast's extra-terrestrial rhymes.
